Hi. I’m Rizzn. You Might Remember Me From … that Gnome’s Ass.

One of the funny and quirky photo projects I came across in Austin was Jim Storer, who was running around SxSW with a Red Sox garden gnome and a camera, taking images of everyone who’d pause for thirty seconds with the little guy.

What I didn’t realize until the last day was that one of the gazillion stickers I had printed up in lieu of business cards this year was stuck to the gnome’s bum, holding him together.

All around Austin, I kept getting “I recognize you from somewhere – have we met?”

Now I know why. They all remember my face from that Gnome’s ass.

You can check out the whole photo collection here.

Long live @redsoxgnome - he is a fighter! Even if he has to keep it together by a thread, er, a sticker. @redsoxgnome + "More Cowbell" = EPIC WIN

@rizzn: am I the only one who hasn't met you? Shame on me!

I don't think I had the pleasure of meeting you there. You do look familiar. Is there a sticker of you holding together something somewhere in Austin, hindquarters or otherwise?

Funny post Mark. You're right in claiming your sticker was holding him together. An ill-advised stage dive on Friday sent him into surgery in the Blogger Lounge. While @zaneology stickers did the trick for the first day, your stickers came on strong on Saturday and lasted him through the week. It was a fun meme.

It was great to meet you in Austin!

Was great meeting you again, too.

Glad I could finally be useful for something! :-p

This is brilliant. You can visit RedSoxGnome (and your ass sticker) at Dirty Bill's in Austin.

Sweet! I'll hafta do that.

Ha! Good stuff, the butt sticker for the branding win! It was nice to meet you at sxsw too.

Yeah, I think the cost of printing up the stickers was justified by this placement alone!

Was cool meeting you that morning. Hope to see you next year, if not sooner.

Now THIS is a funny post. Long live the @RedSoxGnome!

Indeed. The Gnome was a great icebreaker gimmick and as silly as it is, is a really neat photo project. Everyone I've shown it to has just laughed out loud and loved it.
